Question: What is the proper fashion attire while attending the Tennis US Open? What should I wear?
Answer: Normally, at the US Open, you will see men wear anything from A-Z. However, if you want to be in the top 5%, I recommend these as 3 proper attire choices:
- I like an all linen look. Imagine these two great looks: I like either a relaxed-fit cotton/linen blend V-neck polo or a button-up linen shirt. Stick with a more conservative color, and you can tuck it in, or not. Pair your shirt choice with a white linen short. (Here we do not recommend a flashy printed tee or cargo shorts.) Shoe choices could range from solid white sneakers to tan leather drivers. This look is considered relaxed casual.
- A second choice is a textured V-neck polo in colors of white or light blue fabric in cotton or cotton/silk blend. I suggest pairing it with a fitted blazer or sport coat and dressy jeans or a nice pair of stone chinos. Shoe choices could be endless – dressed down with a white sneaker or dressed up with a tan derby. This look is considered gentleman sport.
- The third choice is a white button-up long sleeve cotton, linen or cotton/linen combination with a blazer paired with light khaki or light grey wool-blend or linen blend pant. Shoes could be either be a leather derby or a loafer. This look is considered country-club style.
With all 3 looks, you must follow the trend of no sock…or at least no-show socks.
We are featuring three of these looks with SCARCI.
